What type of Pilates do you offer?
We offer a variety of Pilates options, including mat-based Pilates and equipment-based Pilates using reformers. Our classes and sessions are tailored to your individual needs, whether you’re recovering from an injury, improving strength, or seeking a low-impact exercise routine.

Who can benefit from Pilates at Laura Franklin Rehab?
Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It’s particularly beneficial for improving core strength, posture, flexibility, and balance, managing pain, recovering from injuries, or enhancing athletic performance.

What makes your Pilates sessions different?
Our Pilates sessions are led by trained physiotherapists and personal trainers who ensure exercises are personalised, safe, and effective. We focus on alignment, controlled movements, and building strength to support long-term health and wellness.

Do you offer group Pilates classes or one-to-one sessions?
We offer both! Group classes provide a supportive environment for those looking to improve fitness and flexibility, while one-to-one sessions are tailored to your specific goals and needs.

Can beginners join your Pilates classes?
Yes, but for Mat classes, we strongly recommend one of our Intro sessions, and for Reformer, we insist that all clients attend at least one 30-minute Intro session. We have a range of Intro sessions available. See our Getting Started page.

Do you offer Pilates for injury recovery or specific conditions?
Yes, our physiotherapist-led Pilates is ideal for rehabilitation and managing conditions such as back pain, arthritis, or post-surgery recovery. We design sessions to support your recovery journey safely.

How long is a Pilates session?
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the class or program.

What should I wear to a Pilates session?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows for ease of movement. Grip socks are recommended for reformer Pilates to ensure safety and hygiene.

Do I need to bring any equipment?
We provide all the necessary equipment. You’re welcome to bring your own mat or mat & Yoga classes if you prefer.

Where are the Pilates classes held?
We have a bespoke Mat Studio for all our Mat Pilates & Yoga classes & our fully-equipt Reformer studio for 1-to-1, 2-to-1, 3-to-1 sessions & Reformer classes.

What equipment do you have?

All of our equipment is from Balance Body or Align Pilates.
​
Our Equipment studio has:

as well as a range of small equipment, including hand weights, foam rollers, magic circles & Oovs.

Can I join a class if I have a pre-existing injury?
Yes, we can easily adapt exercises for most clients. However, to benefit from your classes, we recommend starting with an Intro session so our instructors can assess your needs and ensure the exercises are safe and effective for your condition.

How do I book a Pilates session?
You can book online, by phone, or at our clinic reception. Spaces in group classes are limited, so we recommend booking in advance.

What are the costs for Pilates sessions?
Costs vary depending on the type of class. We have PAYG, passes and membership options available.

Do you offer packages or discounts?
1-to-1, 2-to-2 & 3-to-1 sessions are available PAYG or block packages.
Classes are available PAYG, class passes or monthly memberships.

How can Pilates help with back pain?
Pilates strengthens the core muscles that support your spine, improves posture, and reduces strain on your back. Our sessions focus on controlled movements to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.

Can Pilates improve posture?
Yes, Pilates is excellent for improving posture. It targets the muscles responsible for alignment, helping you stand taller and move more efficiently.

Will Pilates help me lose weight?
While Pilates isn’t a high-intensity workout, it builds lean muscle, improves metabolism, and enhances overall fitness, which can support weight loss when combined with a healthy lifestyle.

How quickly will I see results?
Most people notice improvements in posture, strength, and flexibility after just a few sessions. Consistency is key, and results vary depending on individual goals and effort.

No experience is necessary. Our instructors will guide you through every step, whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your practice.

How do I choose between group classes and one-to-one sessions?
