Our assessment includes the following:


Discussion of your symptoms & how they are affecting you.

Movement assessment.

Internal pelvic floor assessment (if indicated)*.

Discussion of assessment findings.

Treatment options & plan moving forward.

Pelvic floor issues -Incontinence/leaking
Diastasis rectus abdominis (tummy muscle separation)

*A female Chartered Physiotherapist carries out internal pelvic floor assessments. Our treatment room is a safe & secure environment.  Assessments will only ever be carried out with your consent & you can change your mind at any time. You can bring a chaperone with you. If you do not want an internal examination, this is not a problem, & is only one part of the assessment.

Mummy MOT®

Mummy MOT® Assessment

Our Women’s Health Physio is fully trained and licensed to carry out a Mummy MOT®.


Mums need to bend, squat and lift, so we provide clinical postnatal care and functional exercises for our clients following birth (no matter how long ago).

This type of assessment includes: 

Full postural screen.

Pelvic floor muscle assessment.

Abdominal muscle exam to check for any separation.

Screening for bladder, bowel or sexual dysfunction.

Assessment is suitable from 6 weeks post-birth

& ANYTIME after. 

Mummy MOT® Assessment


Mummy MOT® Assessment, follow up & small equipment for home exercises 


Mummy MOT® Follow Up

Follow-up appointment following your Mummy MOT® Assessment. Your therapist will progress your personalised rehab. 

This appointment will include: 

Education and advice on safe activities such as lifting your baby or pushing a buggy.

Bespoke rehabilitation programme with your goals and lifestyle factors in mind.
