Lorna Brickman
Physiotherapist: MSK & Women's Health Specialist
Pilates Instructor: Mat & Reformer
Lorna is an experienced Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor, and certified Mummy MOT Practitioner. With over 14 years of clinical experience, including 3 years in the NHS and over a decade in private practice. Lorna specialises in supporting women through all stages of life, with particular expertise in postnatal recovery and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Lorna holds a BSc in Physiotherapy and is accredited in acupuncture with the AACP. She has completed advanced training in female pelvic health, including Gerard Greene’s courses in pregnancy, postnatal physiotherapy, and pelvic floor assessment and treatment. Her Pilates training is extensive, with full APPI certification across Matwork Levels 1–3, Ante & Postnatal Pilates, and Pilates for Children & Young People. She is also experienced in teaching both mat and reformer Pilates, with over 11 years of mat teaching and several years on the reformer.
Lorna is passionate about helping clients manage symptoms related to pelvic, back, and neck pain. She takes great satisfaction in empowering individuals to alleviate pain, regain function, and regain confidence in their bodies. She especially enjoys working with postnatal women and those managing pelvic floor issues, helping them return to the activities they love, whether that’s sport, family life, or simply moving with ease.
Her own Pilates journey began at Inner Balance Pilates, Laura Franklin’s first studio, where she discovered the benefits of movement postnatally with her first daughter. Now a strong advocate for Pilates as part of recovery and lifelong wellbeing, she often jokes that “whatever someone’s issue, the answer is Pilates.”
Outside of the clinic, Lorna enjoys staying active, playing in a social netball league, and going on mountain adventures with her family.
