Fay is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Senior Lecturer with a strong academic and clinical background in lower limb and spinal rehabilitation. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and an MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and is currently completing a PhD focusing on hip pain in middle- and long-distance runners, reflecting her deep interest in the intersection of research, movement science, and athletic performance.
Clinically, Fay has extensive experience working as a lower limb and spinal MSK specialist, managing a wide range of hip and spinal pathologies. Her work places particular emphasis on surgical triage, post-operative rehabilitation, and return-to-sport planning, bringing advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to every case she manages.
Alongside her work at LFR, Fay is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, Sports Medicine, and Sports and Exercise Therapy. Her teaching draws on both academic expertise and real-world clinical insight, making her a valued educator in the field.
Since 2013, Fay has worked closely with Laura Franklin, gradually developing her Pilates teaching from a competent mat-based foundation to a highly skilled and intuitive Reformer instructor. She now integrates her specialist physiotherapy knowledge into her teaching, delivering tailored rehab-Pilates sessions that are grounded in clinical understanding and designed to support complex recovery and long-term resilience.
Fay brings a unique combination of academic insight, clinical expertise, and thoughtful movement teaching, making her an invaluable part of the LFR team.
